Mobile Robotics
Prioria brings you competitive advantage through Mobile Robotics
Let Prioria help you reap the benefits of the emerging Mobile Robotics industry, whether you are just beginning to explore the possibilities, need reinforcements for your robotics initiatives, or are ready to engineer and roll out a full-scale Mobile Robotics application. We will combine our proven techniques and tools, the expertise of our staff, the strength of our industry partners and our insatiable appetite for making our clients successful, to help you perfect a specific robotic component, get through a challenging phase of a project, all the way up to producing a full turnkey solution.
- Ground Robotics: Machine/vehicle automation for transportation, mining, agriculture, forestry, construction, and defense
- Service Robotics: Security and surveillance, search and rescue, cleaning, mowing, material movement
- Robotic Components: Navigation and Localization (including Precision Navigation in GPS-challenged environments); Advanced Perception and Sensor Fusion; Autonomy for dynamic Situation Assessment, Planning and Decision-Making, Collision Avoidance and Control; Manipulators and Payloads; Telecommunications; and Operator Control Units
Innovation ConsultingAs applications of robotic solutions become more widespread, the cost and technical risks of the supporting systems, components and technologies fall, as do some barriers to adoption. These changes can open up radically new (and sometimes non-obvious) value propositions for applying robotic technologies to solve everyday problems and to exploit previously unrealizable opportunities. We help clients get on the fast track to reduced cost and risk, and increased revenue, productivity, safety, and competitiveness through:

Solution DeliveryFielding a robotic solution may be an effort that is vital and valuable for your organization, but perhaps you are not adequately staffed, trained or chartered to do so without outside assistance. Whether you need to fully outsource an effort, have us take the lead while providing technology transfer along the way, or have us work side-by-side with your team, Prioria stands ready to provide that assistance in any way that adds value to your endeavor, such as:

Memberships and Alliances
We know that to do the best job for our customers, we need to stay abreast of ongoing innovations and successes in the corporate world, at universities and at government agencies and national labs. Our company and/or its staff belong to and support the following industry-related organizations:
- SAE/AS4 (formerly known as the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) Working Group)
- The Robotics Technology Consortium (Note: we currently qualify as a “non-traditional defense contractor”)
- AUVSI, IEEE, AAAI, AIAA
We maintain a close working relationship with the University of Florida, both as an Intellectual Property licensee and as a frequent teaming partner. For Mobile Robotics, we draw upon the expertise, manpower and facilities of the Center for Intelligent Machines and Robotics (CIMAR) in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, and the Machine Intelligence Lab (MIL) in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
We also know that it is critical to develop meaningful strategic relationships and teaming partners in order to fill in technology, competency or resource availability gaps. We are continuing to form formal relationships with “Best of Breed” COTS product providers in areas such as mobility platforms, sensor/perception packages, inertial measurement units/inertial navigation systems, operator control units, mission planning systems, and telecommunications systems, and with other robotic system developers. If you provide products or services in these or related areas, please contact us to make sure we are aware of your products and capabilities.
