Aerospace / Mechanical Engineer


Conduct general engineering and design of aircraft structures and aero-mechanical system on small UAS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engineering and design of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems for small UAS and payload systems
  • SolidWorks modeling of components and designs
  • Analysis and material selection of designed components
  • Designs targeting highly constrained size, weight, and power environments
  • Attend and present design reviews
  • Transition from SolidWorks models to tooling or rapid prototyping
  • Facilitate rapid creation of initial parts, learn in-house processes
  • Work closely with other engineers, technicians, manufacturers, and suppliers supporting current designs
  • Develop manufacturing procedures for designed components
  • Support flight test operations, and develop bench and flight test procedures
  • Some travel may be required
  • Use industry standards for drawings and drawing control systems

Required Skills

Software Engineer


Conduct engineering and design of the software subsystems required on small UAS. These areas include platform control, mission planning, image processing, wired and wireless network data transfer, payload control, and data analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and provide ongoing support for system software to meet technological and customer requirements including tools for data reduction and analysis
  • Define and analyze system software design requirements and write software requirements documents to meet defined and anticipated customer needs and system quality and performance standards
  • Write software integration and test plans; conduct and lead software verification, testing and integration efforts to identify required modifications and ensure optimum system performance at delivery
  • Document designs with project reports, written descriptions, and engineering drawings
  • Develop reusable software and system components, and integrate these into existing and new designs
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers in planning, design and development of systems to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility
  • Develop interface definitions in conjunction with design team and enforce interface control documents to record and validate system performance standards and results
  • Lead and participate in software Design Reviews to ensure team progress against milestones are met and to maintain highest quality level within project schedules

We are looking for a versatile assistant to help our growing engineering team with various administrative tasks. Our diverse engineering team is involved with most aspects of our business. Our ideal candidate would help make our engineers more efficient in their daily activities allowing them to spend more time engineering great new products.   • Assist with answering departmental phone calls and emails

Contracts Administrator


Administer contracts, both government and non-government, to ensure fulfillment of
contractual fiscal and performance obligations. Define requirements, generate proposals,
monitor performance, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure compliance with contract
requirements and government procurement regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, perform cradle to grave contract proposal, negotiation and administration to include: non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements,
    authority to proceed documents, and subcontracts, processing contract awards,
    contract modifications, task orders, and purchase orders.
  • Draft and review non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Administer contract requirements by analyzing performance requirements and
    customer purchase order requirements. Analyses include performance to delivery
    schedules, pricing, terms and conditions, and other contract provisions.
  • Review draft proposal submissions to ensure responsiveness to RFP or other
    customer bid requirements.
  • Evaluate contract requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs of
    material, equipment, and labor hours.
  • Negotiate terms of contracts of varying complexity, both with government and
    commercial customers, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Establish and maintain an internal contract management system that disseminates information regarding contract modifications, deviations, negotiations and completion or termination.
  • Maintain configuration management of all contract related documentation.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, or equivalent discipline preferred.Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 3 or more years of related experience.
  • CPCM and/or CFCM certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Extensive experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the various agency supplements, including the DoD supplement (DFAR).
  • Working knowledge of the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in reviewing, negotiating, and administering both public law and commercial contracts
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Word, Excel; with general knowledge of PowerPoint a plus.
