Aerodynamicist

Summary

Prioria Robotics seeks an expert in aerodynamics for the creation of aircraft structures on small unmanned aerial systems (UAS) with both fixed wing and rotary wing design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engineering and design of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems for small UAS and payload systems.
  • Creation of new flight vehicles from a provided list of specifications.
  • SolidWorks modeling of components and designs.
  • Simulation-based analysis to prove design before prototyping.
  • Analysis and material selection of designed components, investigating the use of new materials, or improving existing materials.
  • Design targeting highly constrained size, weight, and power environments.
  • Attend and present design reviews.
  • Work closely with other engineers, technicians, manufacturers, and suppliers to support current designs.
  • Support flight test operations, and develop bench and flight test procedures.

Required Skills

Summary

Prioria Robotics seeks an expert in non-linear controls for advanced vision-based estimation and control of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Expertise/experience with vision/image based control systems, adaptive control, multi-view geometry, Kalman filtering (including non-linear alternatives), and autonomous navigation with and without GPS.
  • Required to gain expertise with Lyapunov-based control and information theoretic learning (previous experience is not required but will be considered favorably).

Software Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a passionate and curious engineer to join our software development team. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in C++ development or embedded systems development. A desire to grow, learn, and explore is a must.

You will be asked to design, implement, and maintain the various software subsystems required on small Unmanned Aerial Systems. Areas include platform control, mission planning, video compression and transmission, image processing, wired and wireless network communication, payload control, and data analysis.

Technical Project Manager

Summary

Conduct project management activities on technical projects within the R&D Services group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain program management, proposal, and engineering schedule – including resource allocation, completion dates, deliverable items and dates, and other important data points
  • Project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and projections for all projects within the R&D Services group
  • Coordinate with contract administrative personnel and Program Manager to integrate newly contracted work, including contract deliverables, the contract statement-of-work, and the contract period-of-performance into the master schedule
  • Evaluate project progress continuously with respect to resourcing schedule/budget and report and report status to Program Manager

Engineering Administrative Assistant

Summary
